Ergens op de Edese hei heeft het eerste en derde peloton van de School Luchtmobiele Brigade zijn tenten opgeslagen. Het is rond 19.00 uur als ik daar arriveer. De schemer heeft ingezet en snel zal het donker zijn. Dat is het moment dat de Bravo groep van het eerste peloton vertrekt voor een patrouille over de hei en door het bos. In februari bracht een 140 man sterk Frans infanterie contingent van het 8e Regiment de Parachutistes d'Infanterie de Marine (8 RPIMa) een bezoek aan haar Britse collegas van het 5th Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland (5 Scots). ScanEagle conducts its first operational mission in Dutch service
On August 8th, a Dutch ScanEagle short range tactical unmanned aerial vehicle (SRTUAV) conducted its first operational mission over the Gulf of Aden as part of the counter-piracy Operation Ocean Shield. The first European Air Transport Training (EATT) was held from June 4th until June 15th at Zaragoza Air Base in Spain. "Alle begin is..." De lichting mannen die begin augustus begonnen bij de A-compagnie van de School Luchtmobiele Brigade, is het eerste resultaat van de in 2012 ingevoerde Kennismakingsdagen.
